Job summary
EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to independently program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines using Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate.
You will interpret complex engineering drawings, select tooling and machining strategies, and optimize processes to deliver precision components while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Candidates should have strong English communication and hands-on mentoring abilities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, mill-turn centers).
- Strong English communication and technical documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings and convert them into CNC programs using Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate.
- Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies for precision components.
- Optimize machining parameters to improve efficiency, tool life, and part quality.
- Perform first-piece inspection and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Train junior technicians on machine operation and safety practices.
- Ensure routine maintenance of CNC equipment and workstations.
