Job summary

Azizi Developments is seeking a Precast Detailer to prepare shop drawings, GA drawings and bar bending schedules for precast elements across our development portfolio. You will translate approved designs into production-ready drawings and work closely with the Senior Designer/Design Engineer and BIM Modellers to support production drawing requirements.

You will ensure detailing accuracy, coordinate with production on moulding/erection feasibility, and maintain revision control in line with QA/QC

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture are required/expected.
• 3–6 years of detailing/drafting experience, including 2+ years in precast detailing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; Revit knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precast shop drawings, GA drawings and element drawings from approved design information.
• Detail reinforcement, connections, embedded items and lifting inserts; prepare bar bending schedules and material schedules.
• Incorporate design engineer instructions into detailed, constructible production drawings.
• Coordinate with BIM/Revit Modellers to maintain 2D and 3D drawing consistency.
• Revise drawings to reflect design changes, RFIs, consultant/client comments and site instructions.
• Liaise with Production to confirm mould/formwork requirements and feasibility; support QA/QC and revision control.

Precast Detailer to prepare accurate shop drawings, reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules for precast structural and architectural elements across our development portfolio, translating approved design and engineering information into production-ready drawings. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Designer/Design Engineer and closely with our BIM Modellers and Production team to support the Design Production Department's drawing

production requirements on landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare precast shop drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings and element/production drawings from approved design information, engineering calculations and BIM models.
• Detail reinforcement, connections, embedded items and lifting inserts, and prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and material schedules.
• Incorporate connection designs and instructions issued by Design Engineers into detailed, constructible production drawings.
• Coordinate with BIM/Revit Modellers to maintain consistency between 2D detail drawings and 3D models.
• Revise drawings in response to design changes, RFIs, consultant/client comments and site instructions.
• Liaise with the Production Department to confirm mould/formwork requirements and manufacturing feasibility of details.
• Support QA/QC checking of drawings prior to issue, and maintain drawing registers and revision control.
• Coordinate with the Senior Designer/Design Engineer to resolve detailing queries and constructability issues.
• Support site/erection teams with clarifications on connection and installation details.

Person Specification:

Functional Pre-Requisites Skills:

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or
• Drafting/Detailing (or equivalent).
• 3-6 years of detailing/drafting experience, including 2+ years in precast concrete detailing.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and bar bending schedules for Villas, High-rise, Hospitality, Mixed-use, Residential or Industrial projects; UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); working knowledge of Revit advantageous.
• Good understanding of reinforcement detailing, connections, embedded items and precast production/erection requirements.
• Working knowledge of applicable standards (ACI, PCI, BS/EN) as relevant to detailing accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately to tight production schedules.
