Job summary

1st-jobs.com is seeking an experienced PRE SALES ENGINEER - ELV/AV SYSTEMS for our Dubai client. The role focuses on designing ELV/AV solutions, producing diagrams, and delivering detailed tender documentation for design-build AV projects.

You will survey sites, explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and prepare BOQ/estimation while coordinating with consultants to meet requirements. A strong CAD and AV knowledge base is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the design of ELV/ Audio-Visual systems.
• Experience working with AutoCAD, Visio, D-Tools, or similar ELV/Audio-Visual design software.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, and other similar products.
• Design & Engineering of IP and Analogue CCTV, Biometric, ACS, and Burglar Alarm systems.
• Preparation of Tender Documents, BOQ and Estimation for proposed sites.
• CTS or CTS-D is preferred.
• Knowledge of Data Networking as it relates to Audio-Visual systems.
• Configuration of DVR/NVR, Biometric, ACS systems.
• Knowledge of Parking Barrier systems, PA systems, and PABX systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend site surveys to obtain design space details.
• Explain technical solutions to customers with varying technical ability.
• Create one-line conceptual system diagrams using AutoCAD or Visio.
• Provide detailed Scope of Work and Operational Narrative for proposed solutions.
• Review RFPs and generate RFIs to address design deficiencies in RFPs.
• Create installation drawing packages including floorplans, rack elevations, mounting elevations, and wiring diagrams for smaller AV projects.
• Coordinate with Client & Consultant to meet system requirements and provide cost-effective enhancements.

Accountabilities Include:

• Attend site surveys to obtain design space details
• Explain technical solutions in simplified terms to customers of varying technical ability
• Create one-line conceptual system diagrams using AutoCAD or Visio
• Provide detailed Scope of Work and Operational Narrative for the proposed solution
• Review Requests for Proposal (RFP) and generate Requests for Information (RFI) to address design deficiencies in RFP
• Create installation drawing package to include floorplan layout, rack elevations, mounting elevations, and wiring diagrams for smaller design-build Audio-Visual projects
• Requirements for Success:

• Configuration of DVR,NVR,BIOMETRIC, ACS SYSTEMS
