Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi LLC is actively seeking Licensed Practical Nurses with Orthopedic Ambulatory experience to join our patient care team. The successful candidate will provide care under Registered Nurses' supervision, following established care plans and our Nursing Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities include admissions, care planning, direct patient care, assessments, and documenting outcomes. You will collaborate across disciplines, maintain patient safety, and participate in charge

Formación

• Diploma in Nursing required with minimum three-year curriculum.
• Minimum two years post-graduate experience; orthopedic ambulatory setting mandatory.
• Valid and current national nursing license; BLS certification required or within 3 months of employment.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Strong communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

JOB SUMMARY

The Practical Nurse provides appropriate patient care according to established care plans under the supervision from Registered Nurses to the Nursing Scope of Practice. Adheres to and promotes the professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi. The Practical Nurse is not licensed for independent practice and remains responsible and accountable for his/her own actions. Understands, supports and promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans and updates plan of care based on individual patient needs
• Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family centered care
• Monitors and documents patients’ condition and effectiveness of care and interventions
• Assess educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns
• Use the knowledge of one’s own role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the health care needs of the patients and populations served
• Demonstrates commitment to providing evidence based practice care by: adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations in which assigned, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidence
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication
• Respects Patient Rights and demonstrates behaviors of a Patients' First Philosophy
• Incorporates the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice
• Reports errors and near-misses
• Responsible for completing charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD. When charges are not captured automatically the nurse will complete within Epic in real time, Perioperative Services within 24 business hours

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
• Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Orthopedic Ambulatory setting is mandatory

Certification and Licensure

• Valid and current national license is required
• BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

• Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience with electronic medical record is strongly preferred
