Job summary

Virtusa in United Arab Emirates is seeking a Power BI focused BI Developer to build and maintain high-performance data visualizations, reports and dashboards. You will collaborate with a Business Analytics Designer and customers to translate requests into semantic models and ensure visualizations meet branding and quality standards.

The role requires strong SQL experience, familiarity with multiple data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Excel), and ability to work in a fast-paced agile

Qualifications

• Proficiency in creating and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills with experience across data sources.
• Experience with data visualization standards, fonts, colors, whitespace and branding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI visualizations, reports, and dashboards with Power BI.
• Coordinate requirements with Business Analytics Designer and customers.
• Validate performance of visualizations in operational settings.
• Create and manage semantic data models visible to end-users.
• Ensure high quality visuals comply with branding and styling standards.
• Support rapid prototyping and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Develop and Maintain business intelligence data visualizations using Microsoft Power BIThe core responsibilities will be to develop high performance data visualizations reportsdashboards and provide ad hoc a proven ability to work in a fast-paced agile environmentBe comfortable with initial ambiguity and offer solutions to lead a Client down the right pathSupport rapid prototyping and coordinate business requests and specifications with aBusiness Analytics Designer and CustomersValidate that visualizations perform as expected in an operational settingEnsure developed visualizations are high quality and comply standards around font colorwhitespace or other branding elementsDevelop semantic layer organization that will be visible to end-users

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

• Proficiency with all areas Power BI SSRS Hadoop Dashboards Reports SchedulingPublishing.


• Creation of Complex Data Models


• Deep understanding of Relational Models Tabular Models and Multi-Dimensional Models


• Ability to enhance models as needed for custom Visualization requests


• Strong SQL work experience and understanding must have
