Job summary

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) invites applications for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Power & Renewable Energy Engineering within SEAST. The successful candidate will teach, conduct impactful research, and contribute to curriculum development, programme enhancement, and accreditation readiness.

Ideal candidates will build industry partnerships, lead laboratory development, supervise students, and publish in reputable journals.

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Systems, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy or closely related field.
Strong teaching, research, and publication record in power and renewable energy engineering.
Expertise in power systems, renewable energy technologies, power electronics, or energy storage.
Ability to develop and deliver practice-based engineering education with laboratory applications.
Industry collaboration, applied research, or consultancy experience is desirable.
Relevant certifications in electrical power engineering or related areas are a plus.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, keep materials updated, assess students effectively.
Lead and supervise undergraduate projects and postgraduate research where applicable.
Contribute to curriculum design, programme assessment, and accreditation readiness.
Lead development of specialised laboratories in power systems and renewable energy.
Publish high-quality research and pursue industry collaborations.
