Job summary

Target Engineering and Construction Co. LLC in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Port Captain to lead all port and marine operations for large EPC oil and gas projects.

You will coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, marine contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and efficient movement of vessels, cargo and equipment. Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in marine operations, including Port Captain or related roles.
• Experience with EPC or major capital projects in oil & gas or offshore energy.
• Strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, IMDG and port regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all port and marine operations for EPC project logistics.
• Oversee berthing, cargo handling, mobilization/demobilization and port activities.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and HSE standards.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, marine contractors and freight forwarders.
• Review marine procedures, method statements and vessel documentation.
• Provide guidance on vessel selection, load-out operations and heavy-lift logistics.
• Monitor vessel performance, schedule adherence and operational readiness.
• Support project planning with forecasting of port operations and marine resources.
