• Job Title: PMO Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and delivery of a portfolio of mining and metals projects by closely collaborating with respective project teams.


• Contribute to the development of company’s strategic plans and initiatives.


• Ensure the projects align with the company’s strategic goals focusing on operational excellence, revenue generation, cost management and sustainability.


• Develop and manage detailed project plans ensuring scope, schedule, resources and budgets are defined and adhered to.


• Monitor the projects to ensure they are completed on time within budget and with the highest quality standards against KPIs.


• Own the P&L for multiple projects ensuring financial health and profitability of the company.


• Develop and monitor project budgets forecasts and financial performance.


• Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and provide regular comprehensive updates on project status, progress, finances, risks and outcomes.


• Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.


• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, best practices and company policies across all projects.


• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure project adherence to governance standards.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.


• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all projects.


• Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project plans processes and outcomes; maintain accurate records of project progress changes and decisions.


• Establish and enforce PMO governance frameworks, standards and methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mining or a related field. A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.


• 1520 years of experience in a similar role.


• Candidates with PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification will be preferred.


• Mining and Metals consulting experience with MBB or Big4 will be advantageous.


• Indepth understanding of mining project lifecycle from exploration to production to closure.


• Proven track record of managing largescale projects and multiple P&L responsibilities.


• Strong experience in managing crossfunctional teams.


• Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.


• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.


• Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.


• French language proficiency will be an added advantage.
