Job summary

Wood is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to provide specialist instrumentation and control guidance across the project lifecycle for our clients in the energy sector in Abu Dhabi. You will review contractor deliverables and ensure compliance with codes, standards and project specifications.

You will coordinate with EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical issues, maintain safety, reliability and operability of process control and field instrumentation systems, and

The Role

• Provide technical expertise in all Instrumentation design
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards
• Coordinate, Monitor and handle Instrumentation design and engineering with EPC Contractors per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame
• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering/Operation/Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity etc.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Instrumentation Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

Job Objective

• Provide specialist instrumentation and control engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and international standards.
• Ensure the integrity, reliability, safety, and operability of process control, shutdown, monitoring, and field instrumentation systems.
• Support the development and implementation of control philosophies, instrument specifications, cause-and-effect charts, and functional design requirements.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with project objectives and schedules.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and mitigate project risks.
