Wood is seeking a seniorInstrumentation Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide specialist guidance across the project lifecycle, ensuring design integrity and compliance with ADNOC standards. You will review contractor deliverables and collaborate with EPC contractors, IPMT, and operations to address technical issues and drive safe, reliable instrumentation solutions.

The role demands deep knowledge of process control, shutdown, monitoring, and field instrumentation systems, with a focus on quality

Competenze

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas experience is preferred.

The Role

• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPCContractor, ADNOC Engineering/Operation/Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality DisciplineEngineering execution and integrityetc.
• Perform regular andtimelytechnical reviews ofInstrumentationEngineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

Job Objective

• Provide specialist instrumentation and control engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve contractor engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and international standards.
• Ensure the integrity, reliability, safety, and operability of process control, shutdown, monitoring, and field instrumentation systems.
• Support the development and implementation of control philosophies, instrument specifications, cause-and-effect charts, and functional design requirements.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure alignment with project objectives and schedules.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and mitigate project risks.

• Ensure that the facilities are designedin accordance withthe latest corporate guidelines with respect toenvironmentand health aspects.
• Ensure fullutilizationof the existing facilities whileoptimizingthe facilities required for the new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, Modelreview, designreviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technicalassistanceand coordination with otherdisciplineengineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide technicalassistanceduring installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning
• Report to ADNOCDiscipline TeamLeader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within theProject Management Team organization
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department
• Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Managementteam anddiscipline engineers as and whenrequired

Expected
