Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Instrument Engineering Specialist for ADNOC Offshore in Abu Dhabi. The role requires coordinating Instrumentation Engineering within IPMT and ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, while interfacing with EPC contractors and consultants.

The candidate will lead technical reviews, participate in design option analyses, and support installation and commissioning activities on major offshore projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Instrument, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 15+ years of relevant oil and gas experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards.
  • Experience with engineering software and general tools.
  • Ability to make independent planning and coordination decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate overall Instrumentation Engineering within IPMT Instrumentation Engineering Team.
  • Assure quality and accuracy of consultants' and EPC contractors' Instrumentation designs.
  • Review and approve contractor work for ADNOC project compliance.
  • Contribute to design option analyses and optimization discussions.
  • Participate in equipment sizing and selection discussions.
  • Ensure facilities meet environment, health, and ADNOC guidelines.
  • Maximize existing facilities while sizing new project needs.
  • Lead layout reviews, model reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Provide technical assistance to other discipline engineers.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation and performance evaluation.
  • Support installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager; support PM team.

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Instrument Engineering Specialist for our client ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi as part of our instrument engineering within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and will require occasional to travel to Spain.

The Role
  • Provide technicalexpertiseinallInstrumentationdesign
  • Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codesand ADNOCstandards
  • Coordinate,Monitorand handleInstrumentationdesign and engineering with EPCContractoras per project expectation and complete the same within thetime frame
  • Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPCContractor, ADNOC Engineering/Operation/Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality DisciplineEngineering execution and integrityetc.
  • Perform regular andtimelytechnical reviews ofInstrumentationEngineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
