Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced PMC Manager - Construction & Installation to lead planning and execution of island U/G civil works, onshore fabrication, and offshore transportation and installation for ADNOC Offshore.

You will mentor UAE Nationals, drive safety, manage contractor interfaces, and ensure compliance with project standards and shareholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is essential.

Overview

Wood is recruiting for an experienced PMC Manager - Construction & Installation for ADNOC Offshore in Abu Dhabi. The role is based full-time at the client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Role

This position is an experienced PMC Manager - Construction & Installation accountable for planning and execution of islands U/G civil works, onshore fabrication, offshore transportation and installation, and brownfield modifications to ensure project objectives are achieved. Leads construction efforts to ensure execution in accordance with ADNOC Offshore and project procedures and shareholder expectations. Directly manages Construction Leaders for island construction and onshore precast for a high-profile client.

Key objectives

• Develop a comprehensive project plan and detailed schedule, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Estimate costs accurately, control the budget throughout the project, and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Ensure construction work meets required standards and specifications.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Regularly report on project progress to stakeholders, including issues or delays.
• Facilitate smooth communication between all parties involved to ensure alignment and informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Construction team to support objectives and strategies.

• Manage on-island construction teams responsible for planning, development and operations to ensure construction execution certainty.
• Manage the Contractor’s construction planning and execution to ensure compliance with project objectives, strategies, obligations and requirements.
• Establish a construction organization to implement project execution plans and procedures and coordinate resourcing of construction team positions.
• Provide construction and execution strategy support to the Project Team through construction oversight and assistance.
• Ensure that contractor and subcontractors comply with project safety expectations, policies and procedures.
• Steward the development of an Integrated Safety Plan for construction, including SIMOPS for all island and brownfield work.
• Assist in the review and implementation of all Contractor safety plans.
• Maintain interfaces with ADNOC Offshore OPCO to minimize disruption to production operations.
• Ensure detailed design deliverables support constructability.
• Report construction progress, performance, initiatives and issues to the Project Team.
• Lead construction planning teams to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities.
• Sponsor construction readiness reviews, constructability workshops and CERs.
• Mentor and train UAE Nationals in construction management.
• Clearly communicate short-term and long-term goals to direct reports.
• Encourage and recognize outstanding performance and ensure regular staff development.
