Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior Construction Manager for ADNOC Gas projects in Abu Dhabi.

The role focuses on onshore site leadership, with involvement in island U/G civil works, onshore fabrication and offshore transportation and installation, ensuring mechanical completion and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading PMC-style construction management for large oil and gas facilities.
• Strong track record in planning, scheduling, and logistics for offshore/onshore projects.
• Expertise in cost estimation and budget control across multi-discipline teams.
• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Experience overseeing contracts with consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication across project governance bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans and detailed schedules.
• Estimate and control project costs; propose cost-saving alternatives.
• Ensure construction work meets applicable standards and specs.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Oversee contracts and vendor/contractor performance.
• Regularly report progress to ADNOC Gas client and project leadership.
• Facilitate clear communication among architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders.

Job Description:

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Senior Construction Manager with extensive experience in the oil and Gas industry for ADNOC Gas client in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Senior Construction Manager with a proven track record in directly managing and is accountable for the planning and execution of the Islands U/G civil works, onshore fabrication and the offshore transportation and installation / mechanical completion of the components and brownfield modifications of the project to ensure that the project objectives are achieved. Leads construction efforts to ensure the project is executed in accordance with ADNOC Gas and project procedures and Shareholder expectations. Directly manages Construction Leaders for on island construction and onshore precast for a high - profile client.

• Estimating costs accurately, controlling the budget throughout the project, and suggesting cost-effective alternatives.

• Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them.
• Overseeing contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Regularly reporting on project progress to stakeholders, including any issues or delays.
