Wood in the United Arab Emirates seeks a PMC Lead Packages Engineer with a proven track record in leading engineering teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of large-scale projects for a high-profile client in the oil and gas sector.

The role requires coordinating with EPC contractors and engineering consultants to maintain design quality, compliance with ADNOC standards, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of oil and gas experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with international codes and standards.
• Ability to coordinate EPC teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Package Engineering within IPMT Mechanical Package Engineering Team.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s & EPC Contractor’s Mechanical Package Engineering design activities.
• Review and approve Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specs and standards.
• Coordinate participation in design options and business models for design optimization and validation.
• Participate in equipment sizing/selection considering optimization and standardization.
• Ensure facilities are designed per latest guidelines regarding environment and health aspects.
• Maximize existing facility utilization while optimizing new project facilities.
• Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance to other discipline engineers and coordination across teams.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager; support Project Managers.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders, Engineers across departments and with Contractor teams.

Job Objective

• Provide technical expertise in all mechanical Packaged Equipment design
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards
• Coordinate, Monitor and handle Packaged equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame
• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering / Operation / Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity etc.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Packaged Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants/contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department
• Interface regularly with Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required
