Job summary

Fatherson International is seeking a Plumbing Draftsman to develop and coordinate plumbing drawings for MEP projects in the UAE. You will prepare shop drawings, layout plans for potable water, drainage and irrigation, and ensure compliance with local authority standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ experience in MEP contracting, UAE/GCC exposure, and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines while coordinating with BIM modelers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Plumbing Draftsman in MEP contracting companies.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, villas, commercial and residential projects.
• Must have practical experience preparing plumbing shop drawings and coordination drawings.
• Good understanding of plumbing installation procedures and site requirements.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plumbing shop drawings and coordination drawings.

Prepare plumbing shop drawings, installation drawings and detailed layouts using AutoCAD.

Prepare domestic cold and hot water supply layouts.

Prepare soil, waste and vent (SWV) drainage system drawings.

Prepare stormwater and rainwater drainage layouts.

Prepare sanitary drainage and water supply piping layouts.

Prepare irrigation system layouts where required.

Prepare pump room layouts, water tank layouts and plumbing equipment details.

Prepare pipe routing, sections, isometric drawings and installation details.

Coordinate plumbing drawings with HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Architectural and Structural drawings.

Identify and resolve clashes between different MEP services.

Prepare builders' work drawings, sleeve drawings and opening details.

Incorporate consultant comments and revise drawings as per project requirements.
