Job summary

Root 360 Information Technology Consultants in Dubai is seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Draughtsman to develop detailed shop drawings and coordinate complex systems for construction projects.

You will draft ducting layouts, chilled water and plumbing systems, and support coordination with other trades while ensuring compliance with UAE standards. This role requires accuracy, proactive communication, and the ability to translate design intent into constructible drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Technical certification in drafting or HVAC/plumbing preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of HVAC and plumbing drafting experience.
• Experience with GCC projects highly preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft HVAC and plumbing shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create ducting layouts, water systems, and ventilation schemes.
• Prepare sections, elevations, and coordination drawings.
• Coordinate with electrical, fire protection, and architectural disciplines.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control; ensure timely deliverables.

About the job HVAC & Plumbing Draughtman

Drafting & Design

Prepare detailed HVAC and plumbing shop drawings using AutoCAD.

Draft ducting layouts, chilled water, drainage, water supply, and ventilation systems.

Develop schematic, layout, and detailed drawings for construction.

Interpret design drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.

Prepare sections, elevations, and coordination drawings.

Coordination

Coordinate HVAC and plumbing drawings with electrical, fire protection, and architectural disciplines.

Support clash detection and design coordination activities.

Assist engineers and project teams in resolving technical and site issues.

Ensure constructability and installation feasibility.

Documentation

Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and redline markups.

Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.

Update drawings based on revisions and client comments.

Ensure timely submission of deliverables.

Compliance & Quality

Ensure compliance with UAE and international mechanical and plumbing codes.

Follow company drafting standards and quality processes.

Maintain accuracy and consistency across all project documentation.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Technical certification in drafting or HVAC/Plumbing is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 4+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing drafting.

Experience in GCC projects is highly preferred.

Exposure to commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.

Experience working with MEP contractors or consultants.

Technical Skills

AutoCAD (mandatory)
