Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort is seeking a Plumber to join our Engineering team. You will inspect, maintain and repair plumbing systems across guest rooms and public areas, ensuring safe, reliable water supply and drainage.

The role requires a strong technical background in plumbing, the ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs promptly, and flexibility to work shifts and emergencies in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of practical plumbing experience, preferably within a hotel, resort or large commercial property.
• Technical certificate or vocational training in Plumbing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary installations and plumbing maintenance procedures.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs independently.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, pipe fittings and hot water systems.
• Ability to read basic plumbing drawings and technical instructions.
• Understanding of workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices.
• Basic English communication skills to understand work instructions and coordinate with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary fixtures and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve leaks, blockages, water pressure issues and other plumbing faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and service interruptions.
• Install, replace and repair pipes, valves, fittings, taps, toilets, showers and other plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain plumbing installations in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and back-of-house facilities.
• Assist with the maintenance of water pumps, storage tanks and hot water distribution systems within the scope of the role.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing incidents.
• Coordinate with other Engineering colleagues to complete repairs requiring multiple trades.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections and material usage.
• Follow established safety procedures, including isolation requirements, safe tool use and water hygiene practices.
• Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to guests and resort operations.

Our Ideal Candidate

A strong technical background in plumbing maintenance, combined with a careful and methodical approach to work, is essential for this position.

The ideal candidate is confident in diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and maintaining plumbing systems within a hotel or large commercial property. You understand the importance of responding promptly to maintenance requests, protecting guest areas while working and completing every task safely and to a high standard.
