Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a capable PLC/ESD engineer to design hardware and software for industrial automation projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers testing, site commissioning, and on-site/off-site work as needed.

You will apply IEC standards and work with ProSafe-RS, Triconex, Honeywell, AB, ABB, and program IEC 61131-3 languages. Strong English and readiness for demanding schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong PLC/ESD systems background with hands-on experience.
• Willingness to work on site and in office.
• Experience with project schedules and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design PLC/ESD hardware and software.
• Test PLC/ESD systems.
• Commissioning and site activities including Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT.
• Work on industrial automation projects.
• Apply knowledge of Functional Safety, IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.
• Operate and program PLC/Control Systems such as Yokogawa ProSafe-RS, Triconex, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, ABB or similar.
• Program using IEC 61131-3 languages - Ladder Logic, FBD, and ST.
• Conduct basic electronics tasks including circuit theory, voltage, current, and resistance measurements.
• Use industrial communication protocols like Modbus, EtherNet/IP, OPC.
• Prepare Nest Loading, FDS, System Architecture and related engineering documents.
• Perform site commissioning as required.
• Adapt to work onsite and in office based on project requirements.
• Meet demanding project schedules and requirements.
