Job summary

Vanderlande in Dubai seeks a PLC Engineer to deliver high-performing baggage handling systems from development through commissioning.

The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-400/1500), Simatic Manager S7, TIA, WinCC Flexible, and drive technologies, plus strong collaboration with design, IT and R&D teams to meet safety and performance targets across BHS/Cargo projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or related field
• Minimum 5 years automation experience with Siemens PLCs
• Experience with S7-400/S7-1500, Profinet/Profibus
• Hands-on with WinCC and HMIs
• Familiarity with e-Plan and AutoCAD is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork in international projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and commission PLC software per BHS/CHS specs
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, and control drawings against project requirements
• Prepare design and commissioning documentation
• Collaborate with design teams, IT, and simulation engineers
• Provide onsite support and optimize system performance
• Review customer specs to ensure requirements are met
• Stay updated on new product developments and feedback to R&D
