Job summary

RakBank seeks a Vice President, Platform Owner—Core, Lending & Wealth to own the full lifecycle of its core banking platform suite (Finacle Core, Wealth, ELMS, VAM, Nucleus Lending, FLEXCUBE). The role blends operations and transformation to keep platforms highly available, secure, and continuously evolving.

You will lead platform operations, API exposure, upgrades, and DevOps integration while guiding a high-performing team and aligning the roadmap with business needs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in banking technology.
• 5+ years in platform ownership or senior application management.
• Strong experience with core banking platforms (Finacle preferred; Nucleus or FLEXCUBE is a plus).
• Deep understanding of banking domains (retail, Islamic, lending, wealth, VAM).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of core banking platforms, including uptime, SLAs, and performance KPIs.
• Lead platform operations (incident management, monitoring, DR/BCP readiness, maintenance planning).
• Expose platform capabilities via stable, well-governed APIs for digital and business consumption.
• Manage platform upgrades, patching, databases, middleware, and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Lead delivery of platform changes, ensuring resilience, testing, and DevOps integration.
• Maintain platform roadmap aligned with business demand and transformation initiatives.
• Manage technical debt, platform customisations, and configuration governance.
• Oversee test environments and ensure readiness across SIT, UAT, and pre-production.
• Drive automation across operations to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Lead and develop a high-performing platform team (engineers, BAs, operations).
• Track and report KPIs (uptime, MTTR, incidents, change success, API availability).

The Vice President, Platform Owner — Core, Lending & Wealth is accountable for the full run-and-change lifecycle of RAKBANK’s core banking platform suite.

This is an internal product ownership role where each platform (Finacle Core, Wealth, ELMS, VAM, Nucleus Lending, and FLEXCUBE) is treated as a managed product — ensuring stability, availability, and continuous evolution.

The role sits at the intersection of operations and transformation, responsible for keeping platforms running at the highest quality standards while enabling new capabilities, managing technical debt, and supporting strategic programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of core banking platforms, including uptime, SLAs, and performance KPIs

What We’re Looking For:

• 15+ years in banking technology, with 5+ years in platform ownership or senior application management
• Strong experience with core banking platforms (Finacle preferred; Nucleus or FLEXCUBE is a plus)
• Deep understanding of banking domains (retail, Islamic, lending, wealth, VAM)
• Experience managing platform engineering and operations teams
• Strong knowledge of API management and platform integration models
• Understanding of batch processing, release management, and 24/7 banking operations
• Experience with DevOps practices and large-scale system changes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
