Job summary

Allocation Assist seeks an experienced Plastic Surgery Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi healthcare team, focusing on assessment/management of lymphedema and lipedema. You will provide specialist consultation, develop treatment plans, and perform surgical and non-surgical interventions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery.
• Valid eligibility/licensure to practice as a Plastic Surgery Specialist in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Proven clinical experience in lymphedema and/or lipedema management.
• Strong experience in plastic, reconstructive, and/or lymphatic surgery.
• Microsurgical or lymphatic surgery experience is highly desirable.
• Experience managing complex post-operative and chronic swelling conditions is an advantage.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient-counselling skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ethical medical care.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with lymphedema, lipedema, and related lymphatic disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide surgical and non-surgical interventions.
• Perform lymphatic and soft-tissue procedures where trained and credentialed.
• Provide pre-operative counselling, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and manage complications.
• Collaborate with vascular surgeons, physiotherapists, and radiologists.
• Maintain accurate medical records and stay current with advances in lymphatic surgery.
