Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Plastic Surgery Specialist to join our Abu Dhabi healthcare team with a focus on lymphedema and lipedema assessment and management. You will provide specialist consultations, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery.
Valid eligibility/licensure to practice as a Plastic Surgery Specialist in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
Proven clinical experience in lymphedema and/or lipedema management.
Strong experience in plastic, reconstructive, and/or lymphatic surgery.
Microsurgical or lymphatic surgery experience is highly desirable.
Experience managing complex post-operative and chronic swelling conditions is an advantage.
Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient-counselling skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ethical medical care.
Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and manage lymphedema, lipedema, and related lymphatic disorders.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide conservative and surgical treatment options.
Perform lymphatic and soft-tissue procedures where trained and credentialed.
Evaluate patients for liposuction/debulking for lipedema or lymphedema when appropriate.
Provide pre-operative counselling, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up.
Monitor treatment outcomes and manage potential complications.
Collaborate with vascular surgeons, physiotherapists, lymphatic therapists, nutritionists, radiologists, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate medical records per regulatory requirements.
Stay current with advances in lymphatic surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Participate in clinical meetings, quality initiatives, and professional development.
