Job summary

Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a Specialist Plastic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The candidate will specialize in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, delivering high-quality patient care and handling complex procedures.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing cases, performing rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, liposuction, blepharoplasty, and breast surgery, with post-operative care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery / Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist-level qualification.
• American Board, UK, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience preferred, subject to applicable licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage conditions requiring plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical interventions
• Perform reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures within authorized clinical privileges
• Conduct rhinoplasty, abdominoplasty, liposuction, blepharoplasty, and breast surgery, where appropriately trained and credentialed
• Perform scar revision, skin grafting, tissue reconstruction, and wound management procedures
• Manage traumatic injuries, burns, congenital deformities, and post-surgical reconstruction cases
• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and develop individualized surgical treatment plans
• Perform detailed pre-operative assessments and explain surgical risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
• Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage surgical complications
• Collaborate with dermatologists, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure informed patient consent
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
