Job summary

ENGIE Middle East is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage shift teams for safe, efficient operation of the plant, ensuring generation targets and cost control within environmental limits.

You will provide dynamic leadership in a diverse environment, drive safety culture, and oversee training, performance management, and succession planning while coordinating with Plant General Manager and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or higher education in the relevant area.
• A qualification in management studies is preferred.
• Experience in DCS and PLC systems is preferred.
• Fluent in English with excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises and coordinates operation and maintenance personnel to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Reviews shift logs to ensure information is logged and handed over for safety and reliability.
• Decides on operational problems with immediate or long-term consequences and prioritizes maintenance work.
• Ensures compliance with HSE, IT security, and cyber security policies and procedures.
• Develops staff competence through coaching, training plans and succession planning.
