Job summary

TalentOne is seeking a Planning Manager to lead planning, scheduling and progress control for the civil construction of rail depots and terminals in the UAE. You will own the integrated Primavera P6 baseline programme across design, approvals, procurement, construction, testing and handover, coordinating with multiple interfaces and driving recovery actions when needed.

The role requires 12–15+ years in construction planning, 5+ years in leadership, and strong main-contractor experience on rail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Typically 12–15+ years of construction planning experience, incl. 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Main-contractor experience essential, with site execution and subcontractor coordination.
• Proven planning experience on rail depots, terminals, stations or major infra projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills and knowledge of sequencing, resource planning, earned value and delay analysis.
• Experience preparing baseline programmes, progress updates and EOT substantiation under major contracts.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred; high-speed rail experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor programmes and interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, MEP and depot equipment.
• Assess programme impact of variations, late approvals and procurement delays.
• Support EOT submissions and delay analysis with reliable records for contracts and commercial teams.
• Lead planning engineers and coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement and project management teams.

We are seeking a Planning Manager with strong main-contractor experience to lead planning, scheduling and progress control for the civil construction of rail depots and terminal facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the integrated Primavera P6 baseline programme, covering design, approvals, procurement, construction, testing and handover.
• Prepare resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned with construction methods, quantities, productivity rates and contractual milestones.
• Monitor site progress, critical paths, float and resource performance; identify delays and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, recovery programmes, progress dashboards and client reports.
• Integrate subcontractor programmes and coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP, track and depot equipment interfaces.
• Assess the programme impact of variations, late approvals, access restrictions and procurement delays.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and delay analysis, maintaining reliable records with the contracts and commercial teams.
• Lead planning engineers and coordinate closely with construction, engineering, procurement and project management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Typically 12–15+ years of construction planning experience, including 5+ years in a planning leadership role.
• Main-contractor experience is essential, with direct involvement in site execution, subcontractor coordination and programme recovery.
• Proven planning experience on rail depots, terminals, stations or comparable major infrastructure and building projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills and strong knowledge of construction sequencing, resource planning, earned value and delay analysis.
• Experience preparing baseline programmes, progress updates and EOT substantiation under major construction contracts.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred; high-speed rail experience is an advantage.
