Overview

Emarat Aloula Contracting is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our dynamic project team. The role focuses on planning and scheduling for Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Odour Control Systems, and other infrastructure and utilities projects in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning software.
• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery plans, look‑ahead schedules, and progress reports.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, identifying potential delays and risks.
• Analyze project performance and recommend corrective and preventive actions to keep timelines.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to align with milestones.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S‑curves, manpower histograms, and earned‑value analyses.
• Review scope, specifications, BOQs, and drawings to develop accurate WBS.
• Monitor procurement, material deliveries, engineering activities, and construction progress for schedule compliance.
• Participate in planning meetings and provide support throughout the lifecycle.
• Assist in preparing extension‑of‑time claims, delay analysis, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with client, consultant, and contractual planning requirements.

Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant UAE experience as a Planning Engineer.
• Proven experience in WWTP and/or Odour Control Systems (highly preferred).
• Experience in Infrastructure and Utilities Projects (advantage).
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, resource loading, critical path analysis, and project controls.
• Ability to prepare project reports, S‑curves, cash flow forecasts, and progress measurement reports.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and planning best practices (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities with multidisciplinary teams.
