Job summary

SDV Consulting Engineers in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our on-site team. You will create and manage project plans, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedules to align timelines and resources.

Responsibilities include developing schedules in Primavera P6, preparing progress reports, and identifying delays or risks. Strong communication and documentation are essential for project audits and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Well versed in Primavera P6.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction with minimum of five years of experience in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Experience with mega projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working in Engineering Consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor progress; prepare weekly/monthly progress reports with graphs and critical path analysis.
• Identify delays, deviations, and risks; recommend corrective actions to clients and management.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and validate schedule compliance.
• Support delay analysis, claims assessment, and evaluation of variations.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure timely communication and effective coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for project audits and closeout.
