Job summary

Khatib & Alami in Dubai seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to oversee planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for building construction projects, with UAE consultant/supervision experience and proficiency in Primavera P6.

The role involves developing, updating, and maintaining schedules, reviewing contractor programs, monitoring progress, and presenting updates to clients and stakeholders to ensure CPM scheduling integrity and EOT analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of overall planning experience, with 5+ years in the UAE.
• Mandatory experience with a supervision consultant/engineering consultancy in the UAE.
• Strong experience in building projects such as residential, commercial, mixed-use, high-rise, hotels, or villas.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, EOT, and delay analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Review and assess contractors' baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances, delays, and critical path activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Analyze project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule analysis techniques.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Project Managers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Review contractors' resource loading, procurement schedules, and manpower deployment.
• Assess Extension of Time (EOT) claims and provide planning recommendations.
• Participate in project meetings and present schedule updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and client reporting standards.
