Job summary

Freesia Electromechanical Works, the specialist MEP division of Azizi Developments, based in Dubai, delivers electrical, mechanical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV and HVAC solutions across Azizi's developments. We are seeking a Planning / Scheduler to review resources, monitor schedules and forecast progress for multiple disciplines, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with the project plan.

The role involves developing progress charts, reporting deviations, and advising on corrective actions

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of technical engineering principles.
• Ability to determine the path for a project to finish on time.
• Computer skills with engineering/project management software and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Review resource histogram weekly or monthly as required.
• Monitor the project schedule at all stages.
• Evaluate resource allocation and provide recommendations to maintain progress.
• Develop and implement planned versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves).
• Prepare reports and analyse deviations from the plan.
• Track, monitor and forecast progress of activities and deliverables.
• Analyze gaps between planned and actual progress and raise actions.
• Review work sequences with the total project plan and identify critical activities.
• Identify schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions/workarounds.
• Develops schedule commentary for monthly progress reports.
• Performs other responsibilities as directed by Lead Planner-Scheduler.

Responsibilities:

• Review resource (manpower and equipment) histogram weekly or monthly as required.
• Monitoring the project schedule at all stages.
• Evaluate the allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.
• Develop and implement planned versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves).
• Reports and analyses deviations from the plan.
• Track, monitor, and forecast progress of all activities and deliverables such as products, engineering documents fabrication status, and construction of all disciplines.
• Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern that required action of the associate task member.
• Reviews and assesses the work sequences with the total project plan.
• Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialties and identifies significant activities supporting inter- discipline requirements and identifies critical path for discipline or specialty work activities.
• Identifies, analyzes and monitors schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations.
• Develops and writes the schedule commentary that appears in the monthly progress and similar reports. Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepares and presents the Critical Items Action Report.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead Planner-Scheduler.
