Job summary

Amana Group is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting across construction projects. The role focuses on developing and maintaining schedules, tracking progress against baselines, and providing look-ahead information for timely decision-making.

The candidate will monitor productivity data from site reports, update micro schedules, and assist in extension of time claims and job closeout reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Architect, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in planning or scheduling roles.

Responsibilities

• Study contract documents and schedule-related clauses.
• Develop and maintain baseline and updated project schedules.
• Monitor progress and forecast delays; provide look-ahead information.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and update subcontractor progress updates.
• Update micro schedules with actual quantities and progress.
• Assist in Extension of Time claim preparation and project closeout reporting.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting across construction projects. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring actual progress against baseline plans, identifying risks and delays, and providing reliable look-ahead information to project teams to support timely decision-making.

Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL

• Studies contract documents specially clauses related to schedule updates, notifications and milestones.
• Participates in the development of Tender and Baseline schedules.
• Acquires the following activity information from COC/QS:

Quantities.

BOQ Amount.

Cost.

Resources.

• Monitors and aggregates the productivity data from the construction daily reports, site rounds and time sheets. Reports irregularities to the project team.
• Visits sites regularly to monitor the actual progress of work done.
• Effectively communicates with the project team.
• Assists in preparing the weekly and monthly reports and participates in the submittals' updates and subcontractors' progresses updates.
• Updates the micro schedule using actual quantities and actual progress on daily basis.
• Assists in updating the Actual progress in Amanatech (if required).
• Assists in Extension of Time claim preparation.
• Contributes to the Planning section of the Job Closeout Report.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications:
