Job summary

SDV Consulting Engineers in Abu Dhabi seeks a Planning Engineer for a full-time, on-site role. You will develop and manage project plans, track progress, and ensure schedules align with resources.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, extensive Primavera P6 experience, at least 10 years in construction with five in Abu Dhabi, and prior exposure to mega projects and consultancy work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Well versed in Primavera P6.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with mega projects and engineering consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project plans using Primavera P6 and monitor progress.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports with critical path analysis.
• Identify delays, risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and schedule compliance.
• Support delay analysis, claims assessment, and variation evaluation.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and contractors for timely communication.
• Maintain records for audits and closeout.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi for a Planning Engineer. Responsibilities include creating and managing project plans, monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, and implementing project controls. The Planning Engineer will also perform data analysis and communicate updates to ensure the alignment of project goals with timelines and resources.

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor progress; prepare weekly/monthly progress reports with graphs and critical path analysis.
• Identify delays, deviations, and risks; recommend corrective actions to clients and management.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and validate schedule compliance.
• Support delay analysis, claims assessment, and evaluation of variations.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure timely communication and effective coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for project audits and closeout.
