Job summary

fäm Properties Dubai is seeking a Planning & Cost Control Engineer to join our Projects / Fit-Out Execution team in Dubai. You will develop and maintain project schedules, monitor budgets and costs, track progress, and provide reliable reports to support timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Architectural/Construction Engineering degree and has 5–8 years of UAE/GCC experience in fit‑out or building projects, with strong skills in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in project planning and cost control, preferably within fit‑out or building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of BOQs, cost codes, project budgeting, forecasting, and project controls methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and monitor baseline schedules and look-ahead plans using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete projections.
• Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets and analyze cost variances.
• Conduct earned value analysis and assess project performance against established baselines.
• Review and track BOQs, subcontractor and supplier packages, interim payment applications, and variation orders.
• Identify schedule delays and cost deviations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective and recovery measures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress and cost reports for Fit-Out / Execution Management and the General Manager.
• Coordinate with site, procurement, design, and commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely project information.
• Support the preparation of extension-of-time claims and related contractual documentation when required.
