Job summary

Roads and Transport Authority is seeking an Administration/Planning professional to support end-to-end planning, analysis, reporting, and permitting for passenger transport sectors.

The role focuses on coordinating with franchise operators, preparing performance reports, and assisting with contracts and permits across taxi, e-hail, and hourly-rental activities. Office-based with occasional field visits.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years experience with a Master’s degree; 2+ years with a Bachelor’s; 8+ years with a Diploma in related area.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Planning or Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage correspondence with franchise stakeholders and follow up on issues and actions.
• Prepare and update periodic performance reports and sector records.
• Communicate with franchise companies to resolve escalated operational concerns.
• Support implementation of strategies and corrective actions to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Prepare contracts and auctions for concession companies in taxi, e-hail, and hourly-rental activities with concerned departments.
• Issue permits for rented buses, tourist transport, and school transport activities in coordination with the Commercial Transport Activities Department.
• Provide temporary permit services for buses from other Emirates.
• Manage relationships with franchise companies and shared-transport operators and evaluate their periodic performance.
• Analyze complaints, suggestions, and satisfaction studies and propose amendments based on standards.
• Manage, develop, and sustain the database of franchise companies and shared-transport operators and provide it to concerned departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy

• Support monitoring and evaluation of passenger transit performance to ensure alignment with RTA laws, contracts, and quality standards.
• Provide analytical and technical inputs for sector performance improvement initiatives.
• Prepare recommendations on activity approval, temporary suspension, or cancellation of franchise companies.

Operations

• Manage correspondence with franchise stakeholders and follow up on issues and required actions.
• Prepare and update periodic performance reports and sector records.
• Communicate with franchise companies to resolve escalated operational concerns.
• Support implementation of strategies and corrective actions to enhance performance and efficiency.
