Job summary

Wood is seeking UAE National Piping Engineers to join our Engineering and Projects team in Sharjah. Fresh graduates to those with up to 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects are welcome.

This opportunity supports Emiratization objectives and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on onshore and offshore projects, emphasizing design reviews, piping layouts, and HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Internship or internship experience in Oil & Gas or EPC preferred.
• Experience with FEED and detailed engineering in onshore/offshore projects preferred.
• Knowledge of piping design principles and international codes.
• Familiarity with ASME/ASTM/API/ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in piping layouts, routing studies, and engineering drawings.
• Review P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and project meetings.
• Support piping stress analysis, specs, material requisitions, and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Graduate and Junior Engineers (0-3 Years)

• Assist in the preparation of piping layouts, routing studies, and engineering drawings.
• Support piping design activities in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Review P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Mechanical, Process, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and project meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and material requisitions.
• Support engineering calculations and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.

For Mid-Level and Senior Engineers (4-10 Years)

• Perform piping design and engineering activities for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Develop piping specifications, material requisitions, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
• Conduct piping stress analysis and flexibility studies.
• Review and approve piping layouts, isometrics, and plot plans.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Support constructability reviews, HAZOP studies, and design risk assessments.
• Participate in procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Internship experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Energy, or Industrial projects is preferred
• Experience with FEED, Detailed Engineering, Brownfield, Greenfield, or EPC projects is preferred.
• Understanding of piping design principles and engineering practices.
• Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, and international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of: P&IDs , Piping Material Specifications , Pipe Stress Analysis , Equipment Layouts , 3D Modeling ,Isometric Drawings ,Pipe Supports
