Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a qualified Piping Engineer to support offshore oil and gas projects during FEED, Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design, based in our UAE office. The ideal candidate has strong piping materials engineering, layout design and offshore project exposure, including Saudi Aramco offshore programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or piping engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience as a piping engineer in offshore EPCI projects.
• Saudi Aramco offshore project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials, layout design and offshore design constraints.
• Familiar with piping engineering software such as PDMS, E3D, SP3D and Caesar II.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specifications, data sheets and requisitions.
• Good understanding of fabrication, welding and offshore installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform piping engineering activities across FEED, Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases for offshore fixed platforms.
• Develop and review piping design basis specifications, material selection reports, piping classes and MTOs.
• Review and validate layout drawings, isometrics and support details.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, structural and instrumentation disciplines for proper piping integration.
• Ensure deliverables meet offshore standards, codes (ASME B31.3/4/8, API, ISO), and safety requirements.
• Support stress analysis, layout optimization and nozzle orientations.
• Participate in model reviews, design workshops and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.
• Provide input during procurement, construction and offshore installation phases.
• Resolve piping-related queries from vendors and construction sites.

Job description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Piping Engineer to support the engineering phase of offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia with the role based in our UAE office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases with solid knowledge of piping materials engineering layout design and exposure to Saudi Aramco offshore projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform piping engineering activities across FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases for offshore fixed platforms.
• Develop and review piping design basis specifications material selection reports piping classes and MTOs in compliance with project and client requirements.
• Review and validate layout drawings isometrics piping general arrangements and support details prepared by designers.
• Coordinate with process mechanical structural and instrumentation disciplines to ensure proper piping integration and space management.
• Ensure all deliverables meet Saudi Aramco standards international codes (ASME B31.3/4/8 API ISO) and offshore safety requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluations for piping materials and components considering corrosive environments pressure-temperature ratings and weight.
• Support stress analysis teams with layout optimization and input for flexibility loads and nozzle orientations.
• Participate in model reviews design workshops and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.
• Provide technical input during procurement construction and offshore installation phases.
• Resolve piping-related technical queries from vendors fabrication yards and construction sites.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Piping Engineering.
• 8-15 years of experience as a Piping Engineer in offshore oil & gas EPCI projects.
• Saudi Aramco offshore project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials piping layout design and offshore design constraints.
• Familiar with piping engineering and modeling software such as PDMS E3D SP3D Caesar II etc.
• Experience in preparation and review of technical specifications data sheets and requisitions.
• Good understanding of fabrication welding and offshore installation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary project environment.
