Job summary

DAPIN, C.A. in Abu Dhabi seeks a Pipelines Lead for EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector. The role focuses on onshore pipeline engineering, design, construction and operation, with oversight of deliverables and coordination with ADNOC programs.

You will supervise pipeline engineering activities, perform design calculations, prepare technical specifications and MTOs, review drawings, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule and quality on site in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related fields with specialization in onshore pipeline engineering, design, construction and operation.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas with focus on pipeline engineering.
• Proven EPC project experience including bidding and execution phases.
• At least 2 years of experience in Middle East projects.
• Knowledge of Shell DEP and international codes and standards.
• Proficiency in ASME B31.4 and B31.8.
• Practical knowledge of pipeline construction techniques (welding, excavation, HDD, installation).
• Advanced English level C1 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Control the production, quality and issuance of pipeline engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with project schedule and QMS.
• Prepare the EDDR and WBS for the Pipeline discipline.
• Perform and review pipeline engineering calculations (wall thickness, design checks, etc.).
• Develop onshore pipeline activities during bidding and execution within budget and schedule.
• Review alignment drawings, crossings, and related documentation; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Present design information to contractors and ensure understanding of scope and requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets and requisitions for pipeline materials; prepare MTO.
• Prepare technical requisitions, TBE, review vendor docs and inspect materials/equipment.
• Verify compliance with client specs and budgeted costs.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure design compliance.
• Maintain coordination between engineering and construction teams.
• Participate in field surveys and approve contractor Method Statements for ROW, welding, testing, etc.
• Coordinate interfaces with project team and other company areas.
• Maintain technical communication with clients for issue resolution.
• Other activities inherent to the area.
