Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Pipeline Designer to join our engineering team for onshore oil and gas projects based in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing pipeline design deliverables during the engineering phase of EPC projects ensuring alignment with project specifications industry standards and client requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop pipeline routing and layout drawings for onshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Generate alignment sheets pipeline profiles isometrics and other pipelinerelated drawings.
  • Work closely with pipeline engineers to finalize routing based on process civil and topographical inputs.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve interface and clash issues.
  • Prepare and update pipeline 3D models using SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) and ensure integration with other design disciplines.
  • Extract accurate drawings and reports from SP3D including BOM and MTOs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and client standards (e.g. ASME API ADNOC standards).
  • Participate in 3D model reviews design checks and incorporate feedback into deliverables.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience working as a Pipeline Designer in the engineering phase of EPC projects specifically for onshore oil and gas.
  • Strong handson experience with SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other 3D design tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabibased client specifications (e.g. ADNOC) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline design principles codes and international standards.
  • Must be detailoriented organized and able to work in a fastpaced team environment.
  • Candidate must be immediately available to join in Abu Dhabi.
