The role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our outstanding, well-resourced PE department from January 2027. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of highly motivated professionals committed to student progress and holistic development. All PE teachers are expected to contribute fully to curriculum PE, extra-curricular sport and the extensive swimming programme. Teachers may be required to teach IGCSE PE and IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science, with support provided to develop the necessary skills. While teachers are designated as Primary or Secondary, members of the department may be required to contribute across both phases.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality curriculum PE across the relevant age groups.
  • Lead and support a wide range of extra-curricular sports activities and teams.
  • Contribute to the department's extensive swimming programme.
  • Teach IGCSE PE and IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science where required, with appropriate support and training.
  • Contribute across Primary and Secondary phases as needed.
Requirements
  • Certified teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience teaching physical education in the UK or a reputable British school overseas.
  • Evidence of leading a wide range of extra-curricular sports activities.
  • Confidence and competence in delivering the PE curriculum across relevant age groups.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in Physical Education.
  • Experience and passion for EYFS and Primary PE and swimming (desirable).
  • Ability to teach up to IGCSE Physical Education or BTEC Sport Level 2 with a proven track record of strong student outcomes (desirable).
