Job summary

NMC Group Services in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Pharmacy Technician / Assistant Pharmacist to support licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications for outpatients and inpatients in a busy UAE facility.

The successful candidate will hold a DOH license, a D.Pharm diploma, at least two years of UAE pharmacy experience, and strong English communication. You will ensure proper medication handling, adherence to safety standards, and accurate prescription processing.

Qualifications

• DOH license required for Pharmacy Technician/Assistant Pharmacist
• Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) 2-year program
• Minimum 2 years’ UAE pharmacy practice experience
• Current and valid license to practice in home country
• Excellent command of oral and written English
• Knowledge of medication handling, prescription processing, and pharmacy procedures
• Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and medication safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications and preparations for medical outpatients and inpatients per prescription medication order
• Compound when applicable medications under supervision of a Pharmacist
• Initiate and maintain computerized and manual patient medication profiles to screen for contraindications allergies dose correctness drug drug and drug food interactions pharmacological duplication and adherence to drug restriction policies
• Perform specialty pharmacy activities as delegated
• Follow proper handling and storage procedures of medications and recognize physical and chemical changes during storage to avoid dispensing compromised medications
• Be familiar with approximately 1 500 line items on the formulary and work shifts hours to meet operational requirements
• Prepare prescriptions and medication-related documentation for the in-charge pharmacist and second pharmacist to dispense
• Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs
• Proper labeling of high alert medications concentrated electrolytes and hazardous material
• Coexist in the pharmacy only during the presence of a pharmacist
• Comply with all laws circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession
