Qualifications

• BSc in Pharmacy is required.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in the pharmaceutical field.
• Completion of specialty qualification per DHA/DOH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pharmaceutical operations including preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labeling, dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
• Review physicians' medication orders and prescriptions; detect therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Prepare and label pharmaceuticals; verify medication orders, charges and inspections per pharmacy requirements.
• Support clinical programs to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare; adhere to infection-control protocols.
• Assist in logistics-related activities and maintain pharmacy records.

Pharmacy

Performs the daily pharmaceutical operations including but not limited to activities related to preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labelling, appropriate dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.

Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting the physicians' medication orders and prescriptions and detects any therapeutic incompatibilities.

Prepares and labels pharmaceuticals and verifies medication order entries, charges and inspections in line with the pharmacy operational requirements.

Protects patients and Pharmacy caregivers by adhering to infection-control protocols.

Assists in the maintenance of records for controlled substances and the removal of outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.

Provides support to the Pharmacy team in all logistics related activities.
