Job summary

Al-Futtaim Health in Dubai is seeking an experienced Operating Theatre Nurse to deliver high-quality perioperative care across the surgical pathway. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and efficient theatre operations.

The role requires a BSN or equivalent, DHA licensed or eligible, and current BLS; ACLS preferred. Excellent communication, infection prevention, and EMR skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Current DHA Registered Nurse License or DHA Eligibility Letter.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
• Perform patient assessments and ensure accurate documentation throughout the perioperative journey.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, identifying and escalating concerns promptly.
• Ensure surgical safety checklists are completed and documented.
• Manage theatre stock, equipment, and consumables efficiently.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and ongoing professional development activities.
