The position is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and relocation support will be provided.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a European fragrance house, mid-sized and independent, that is expanding its R&D and production capabilities in Asia.

They are looking for a Perfumer specialized in Home & Fabric Care to create fragrances for customers across the region, and to help shape the creative team as it grows locally.

We are looking for an open and collaborative perfumer who enjoys meeting customers, sharing knowledge with junior team members, and working closely with colleagues across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create fragrances for home and fabric care applications: laundry detergents, fabric softeners, surface cleaners, dishwashing and air care.
• Work on customer briefs from start to finish, from first submissions through to modifications and final wins.
• Adapt fragrances to local consumer preferences and price points, while keeping performance in the base: stability, bloom, and cost-in-use.
• Work day to day with evaluators, application labs, sales and regulatory teams, and meet customers when projects need it.
• Build a strong portfolio of home and fabric care fragrances suited to Asian markets.
• Share your know-how with perfumer analysts and FDM as the Bangkok team develops.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• At least 8 years of professional experience in the fragrance industry, including a minimum of 2 years as a junior perfumer.
• Solid track record in home and fabric care, with an understanding of how fragrance behaves in functional bases.
• First-hand experience creating fragrances for emerging markets, whether in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America or elsewhere.
• Formal perfumery training, through a recognized school or an in-house program at a fragrance house.
• Good knowledge of IFRA standards and regulatory constraints.
• Curious, practical and comfortable in a growing organization where things are still being built.
• Fluent English. Other languages are a plus.
• Open to relocating to Thailand. International candidates are welcome.
