Job description

The People & Operations will act as a key operational lead and problem solver across haus & haus. The role is responsible for overseeing People Operations, key administrative and operational functions, business risk, supplier contracts and core systems, while supporting leadership to resolve escalations and keep cross-departmental operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

People Operations & HR

• Act as a senior point of support for HR and Admin Managers, providing guidance, setting priorities and conducting performance reviews.
• Manage complex employee matters, including formal complaints, labour cases, sensitive offboarding and senior exits.
• Oversee HR policies, the Employee Handbook, performance reviews and annual salary reviews.
• Support commercial decisions around employee benefits, including medical insurance renewal.
• Conduct exit interviews when required and identify trends or improvements.

Onboarding Operations

• Approve new role requisitions in line with MD approval and agreed salary budgets.
• Coordinate tailored induction plans for senior hires.
• Ensure operational readiness for new joiners across the business.
• Oversee office maintenance, review and approve quotes, and manage escalated supplier or building management issues.
• Review and sign off on key maintenance agreements and service contracts.
• Maintain oversight of commercial supplier contracts, subscriptions and external business partners.

IT & Systems

• Manage and support the internal IT lead through regular check-ins and performance reviews.
• Help resolve cross-departmental IT and operational issues.
• Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of key operational systems.

Culture & Business Operations

• Work closely with the Managing Director to track priorities, resolve roadblocks and drive execution.
• Oversee internal culture, wellness initiatives, incentives and company events.
• Act as a central problem solver, stepping in to resolve operational bottlenecks across the business.
• Coordinate with external partners, including business coaches, where required.
