Job summary

Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) in Dubai is seeking a professional to handle maritime registration and licensing tasks. You will receive applications, verify information, liaise with customers, assign plate numbers and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely service delivery.

Applicants should have at least two years of maritime registration and licensing experience and a background in regulatory or compliance roles.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years’ experience in maritime registration and licensing.
• Experience in administrative support, preferably within a regulatory or compliance environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process applications for marine craft registration, licensing and maritime activity permits submitted online or walk-in.
• Review applications to ensure accuracy of information and completeness of supporting documentation in accordance with SOPs.
• Liaise with customers to rectify discrepancies and obtain missing documentation for timely processing.
• Assign marine craft plate numbers to customers as part of the marine craft registration process.
• Refer applications to relevant internal departments to facilitate timely completion of services.
• Collect payments by bank transfer or cash and issue receipts for completed transactions.
• Issue and distribute licences, permits and NOCs, providing electronic or printed copies as required.
• Add or remove suspensions and remarks on applications per regulatory requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with the PCFC Customer Happiness Centre to support effective service delivery.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of registered marine craft including ownership details and compliance status.
• Provide guidance to marine craft owners and operators on registration, licensing and compliance requirements.

About Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation:

The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) was officially established in 2001, under the authority of the Dubai Government. There are a number of entities and institutions operating under its umbrella, including Port Rashid, Jebel Ali Port, Al Hamriya Port, which are managed by Dubai Ports Authority, in addition to the Department of Planning and Development - Trakhees, the Dubai Maritime Authority and the Office of the Marine Agency for Wooden Dhows, as well as the investment arm and security arm of the corporation, represented by Investment Department and Security Department.

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of registered marine craft, including ownership details, technical specifications and compliance status.
• Provide guidance to marine craft owners and operators, including technical assistance relating to registration, licensing and compliance requirements.

Experience

Required (Minimum Experience):A minimum of two years’ experience in maritime registration and licensing.

Preferred:Experience in administrative support, preferably within a regulatory or compliance environment.

Educational Qualifications and Certifications

Required (Minimum Qualification):A bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Preferred:Certified Maritime Registrar (CMR) certification or an equivalent relevant professional qualification.
