Job summary

MTEC ELECTROMECHANICAL WORKS L.L.C in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to support the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, attendance, overtime, leave, deductions, and other payroll activities. UAE construction or MEP industry experience is highly preferred.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field, 2–4 years of payroll experience, and strong MS Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field.
• 2–4 years of payroll experience.
• UAE experience preferred and UAE WPS knowledge.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly payroll preparation and processing.
• Collect and verify employee attendance and timesheet records.
• Coordinate with site timekeepers regarding attendance and overtime.
• Calculate overtime, leave, absences, allowances, and deductions.
• Assist with UAE WPS payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll and salary records.
• Check payroll data for errors and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance regarding payroll adjustments.
• Process salary advances, deductions, loans, and related entries.
• Respond to queries on salaries, attendance, overtime, deductions.
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting documents for mgmt.
• Maintain confidentiality of salary and personal information.
