Payments Product Manager – GCC Markets & Checkout

Job summary

Salt is seeking a Payments Product Manager in Dubai to own the payments experience across seven major retail brands and GCC markets. The role is hands-on, focusing on improving checkout performance and customer experience across cards, wallets, COD, BNPL, and local methods.

You will manage the payments backlog, collaborate with PSPs and BNPL providers, and drive initiatives to optimize PSR and conversion across multiple currencies and markets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Product Management or similar delivery role.
• 2+ years in payments/fintech/e-commerce checkout.
• Experience with payment gateways, PSPs, acquirers or BNPL providers.
• Understanding GCC payments: cards, 3DS2, Mada, wallets, BNPL.
• Experience across multiple markets, currencies and payment methods.
• Strong knowledge of payment funnels, PSR, authorization, declines, retries and checkout conversion.
• Ability to use SQL or analytics tools to investigate performance.
• Proven product execution from problem definition through delivery and UAT.
• Experience working with external payment partners.
• Knowledge of card payment flows, gateway integrations, authentication, settlement and PCI-DSS

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the payments product backlog from discovery through delivery and release.
• Drive payment initiatives across cards, wallets, COD, BNPL and local methods such as Mada.
• Analyze PSR, authorization rates, declines, failures, drop-offs and retries to identify opportunities.
• Work with PSPs, payment gateways, acquirers and BNPL providers on integrations and improvements.
• Partner with Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Operations, Legal/Compliance and Brand teams to improve payments.
• Support launches and optimization across GCC markets, currencies and payment methods.
• Own requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, UAT and production release.
• Oversee payment operations including chargebacks, disputes, reconciliation and settlement issues.
• Use data and SQL to investigate payment performance and drive decisions
