Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel DIFC is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry to assist in creating high-quality pastry and dessert items. You will support the Assistant Pastry Chef, maintain cleanliness and food safety, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of culinary experience, strong pastry techniques, and fluency in English. Thai and Malaysian cuisine experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education and/or culinary education.
• Minimum 2 years culinary or related work experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
• Proficiency in English and good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Thai and Malaysian cuisines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present pastry items according to recipes and standards.
• Assist in daily mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared and stored correctly.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of pastry products.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen; follow HACCP standards.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or wastage.
• Support senior chefs in menu development and new pastry creations.
• Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff.
