Job summary

Avanta Works in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking a Part-Time Oenologist with at least 2 years of winemaking experience. The role involves grape selection, fermentation monitoring, blending, bottling, and quality control to meet our product standards.

The ideal candidate has an Oenology degree (or similar), strong record-keeping, and English communication skills; Hindi or other Indian languages are a plus. Accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in winemaking or related field.
• Degree in Oenology or similar qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of different winemaking techniques and processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus).
• Willingness to work part-time hours on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vineyard management including pruning, irrigation, and pest control
• Conduct regular quality control checks on grapes and wine during production process
• Monitor fermentation and make adjustments when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to create blends that meet desired taste profiles
• Conduct lab analysis on wine samples to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain accurate records of all winemaking processes
• Assist with bottling and labeling of finished products
