Job summary

India Abroad is seeking an experienced Oenologist to join the team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is a contract position with accommodation provided and immediate start.

The candidate should hold a degree in Oenology, have extensive grape growing, winemaking and wine tasting experience, and be capable of sensory evaluation of wines while adhering to production regulations. Independent and team work, plus strong communication skills, are required.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Oenology or related field.
• Extensive experience in grape growing, winemaking and wine tasting is required.
• Expertise in sensory evaluation of wines is essential.
• Knowledge of wine production processes and regulations is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop new wines according to customer requirements.
• Manage the fermentation process and monitor throughout its duration.
• Oversee the blending process and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct sensory analysis on finished products, including tasting.
• Assist with wine bottling processes.
