Job summary

BearPlex, Inc. seeks a qualified lawyer or senior legal counsel for part-time engagement in Dubai. You will draft and negotiate commercial contracts, advise on data protection and regulatory matters, and support governance across the UAE and Gulf region.

Fluency in English and Arabic is essential, with hands-on drafting experience and strong business-facing communication. The role offers flexible hours and proximity to the business for rapid, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer or experienced legal counsel with focus on commercial and technology contracts.
• Strong grasp of UAE PDPL and GDPR where relevant.
• Hands-on contract drafting and negotiation with enterprise or government counterparties.
• Working knowledge of UAE corporate governance, including free zone and mainland requirements.
• Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Clear, practical communication turning legal nuance into business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and DPAs for enterprise software and AI engagements in the Gulf.
• Advise on data protection and regulatory requirements for UAE and region.
• Support corporate governance: maintain entity records, board and shareholder docs, and filings.
• Track/regulatory changes in Gulf data, AI, and software procurement.
• Flag contractual risk early and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Build internal templates and clause libraries for self-serve standard terms.
